What an emotional journey! Right off the bat, this book shook me to the core. I had so many thoughts running through my head, I wasn’t sure at times if I knew which way was up. Where We Went Wrong was a poignant tale of what was, what could, and what would be.
Vinnie had the odds stacked against him. As a recovering drug addict, the smallest thing could set him back. So when his father was given only a few more months to live, would it be too much?
Luckily, he met Andy during this rough transition. She was the light he needed to survive. But as time went on would he learn to lean on her or would he bring them both crashing down?
Wow! I am not sure that I have recovered from this book yet. I wanted to scream at them, I wanted to shake them, I wanted to just hug them. I don’t think any other book has made me as uncomfortable as this one with its completely raw and beautiful emotions. I could feel their love and pain radiating off the pages. This will be something that stays with me for a long time.
