Oh my feels! Be ready, it’s brutal. Twisted Pawn was the second book in Shen’s Society of Villains series. It can be read as a stand-alone but check the first book out too. It was raw, full of emotions, and made me think twice.
Tierney knew that her life had an end date and she also knew who would end it. She had wronged Achilles not once but twice. In the eyes of the mafia, that was a death sentence. But Achilles had been in love with Tierney for so long, would he be able to finish the job?
If you have any triggers, check out the warnings. This was definitely dark, captivating, but dark! Tierney and Achilles didn’t know where their hate ended and love began. Watching the two of them figure out life, with and without each other was something else. And talk about emotions, holy roller coaster! I wasn’t sure what was up at some points. Be prepared to be uncomfortable, it’s a bumpy ride! Can’t wait to see what happens next!
