The Last Mrs. Parrish

I heard nothing but good things about this book but it was really hard for me to get into. It is not my normal romance read but it falls into the category so I figured I would give my opinion on it.

The first section is all about Amber and how she is a controlling, manipulative, no good, crazy b*^#•!! I had to force myself to read this part. I never felt sorry for her, I never understood her, I just hated her! Now I am sure that is exactly what I was meant to feel but it just felt long and drawn out.

My feelings completely changed when I got to the second section and you see the story from Daphne’s point of view. Honestly Daphne isn’t much better than Amber when it comes to being manipulative but I couldn’t help myself from rooting for her. The book started to fly by with all the dark secrets and crazy twists and turns. It kept me guessing all the way until the end!!

If you are like me and you have a hard time reading the first section, hang in there – it is worth it!
