I was looking forward to Braxton and Kaylee’s story and Nikki did not disappoint! Silent Chaos was the second book in her Love and Lyrics series. It was full of angst and anger but also had a little swoon!
Braxton had made a promise that he was not given the choice to keep. He knew he needed to get away so moving across the country with his band was an easy decision. As the years went by, his anger grew so when he was forced to be around the one person he couldn’t stand, would he be able to hold everything back or would he release it all on her?
Kaylee knew she had made a mistake but no matter what, she couldn’t figure out how to fix it. His hatred was almost more than she could take but she knew she had a job to do, but would she be able to make it out alive?
What a roller coaster of emotions. I don’t want to give anything away, but I was completely team Braxton until some truths were revealed which painted their story in a new light. They had to get through the darkness to find the light! I loved getting to watch the two of them come full circle! I can’t wait to see what Nikki has in store for us next!
