Rogue Wave

Rogue Wave is the fifth book in J. Bengtsson’s Cake Series. Even though this is part of a series it truly is a stand alone. If you have read the other books you will get glimpses of all the other family members as it pieces together part of the whole story.

Rogue Wave features Keith McKallister who is a classic beach lovin’, pot smokin’ surfer dude. When Kevin meets Samantha he quickly learns she is his complete opposite in every way. She is as straight laced as they come but something draws him to her and her to him. They truly bring out the best in each other. J. Bengtsson weaves an amazing story that spans several years. Both Keith and Sam experience heartache at different points of their lives and instead of leaning on each other they let it drive them apart, again and again.

This book made me feel so heartbroken for them. They both were dealt a ton of crappy hands. I am so glad that J. Bengtsson was able to tell Keith’s story in such a way that it is an inspiration to not give up on love!! Can’t wait to see what is next for the McKallisters!
