Risky Play
By Rachel Van Dyken
I have read a few series by Rachel and this one is right in line with the others. I love her humor!! My favorite by far is still Max and Becca and the dang goat!! I still laugh about it! If you don’t know what I am talking about, check out the The Consequence of Revenge in the Consequence series.
Risky Play is the first book in Rachel Van Dyken’s Red Card Series. Both Mackenzie and Slade are trying to get away from their lives that have fallen apart. They bond while their plane has to make and emergency landing into Mexico. Everything seems to be going great until Slade finds out his father passed away and blames Mackenzie; leaving her to wake up alone. I love that even though she was knocked down by Slade and her ex she holds her head up high and gives Slade a taste of his own medicine. The banter between them is on point!! I rooted for them throughout the whole book, they are perfect for each other. I have read some very heavy (but great) books lately and this was a great change of pace. It was sweet and witty, perfect for giving you all the warm fuzzies! I can’t wait to read Matt’s story in the next book, Kickin It!
