Holy emotions. This book was really hard to figure out if there was a right side or a wrong side. Yes, Kenna could have made different choices but at what point should someone get a second choice? Ugh…impossible feelings. It was a highly emotional, thought provoking, beautifully haunting read.
Kenna had spent the last five years in prison and didn’t know exactly what was next. The one thing she did know was that she needed to be near her daughter. Even if that meant risking it all.
It took me a few days to be able to write this review and I still don’t think I have fully recovered. It was so heart wrenching but also heart warming. You should definitely read this book but be prepared to ugly cry!
