Pretty Reckless (All Saints High)

I thought nothing could top L.J. Shen’s Sinners of Saints series but boy was I wrong! I was blown away by Pretty Reckless. I really shouldn’t be as surprised because come on, L.J. is amazing!!
At first, I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the book since it was based in high school. This is not, I repeat- NOT, your average high school sweet love story. There is so much hatred, betrayal and revenge with sprinkles of passion. This story will blow you away as you navigate through its twists and turns. Just when you think nothing else can happen, turn the page and get knocked out – the hits keep coming. Can love outweigh revenge or have the claws been dug too deep?
Daria, the daughter of Jaime and Melody Followhill (you can read their story in Defy), comes across as a selfish rich spoiled brat. She is the head cheerleader and has everything going for her but does she really have everything she needs?
Penn Scully grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. His Dad is gone and his Mom is a druggie. Everyone knows he does not belong anywhere near Daria. Fate, however, plays by different rules.
When Penn and Daria first meet they set an epic story into motion. It starts out as young love but quickly morphs into revenge. Will love conquer all or will revenge take everybody down?
I can’t stop thinking about this book!! Words don’t seem to do it justice. I suggest you read it as soon as possible!! I recommend all L.J.’s books but this one so far is my favorite!
