Power Play (BTU Alumni Series Book 1) Review
By Alley Ciz
This was my first time reading Alley. I signed up for an ARC of Puck Performance, Book 4 in her BTU Alumni series, and wanted to read books 1-3 first! I love hockey romances so I was looking forward to these. It was fast paced and had a little bit of everything – humor, angst, nail biting action and lots of swoon.
Jake knew Jordan was different as soon as he laid eyes on her. She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Finding out she was his best friends sister, should have stopped his feelings, but they didn’t! Now if only he could make her see that they belonged together.
Jordan’s brothers had one rule…don’t date anyone on the team. Would that rule get broken after she met Jake? How long could she avoid their connection to honor her brothers wishes? Would she allow her heart to have a say?
It was a cute, brothers best friend romance. I liked how their relationship took time to evolve, it made it feel real. It took a little getting used to both characters having overlapping stories, but sometimes it was nice to get both sides. I am looking forward to continuing the series!
