I was not sure what to expect going in but holy moly!! I could not put this book down!! I stayed up way too late to finish it but had no regrets! It was emotional, heartbreaking, and full of angst!
Ali was not ready to come home for the summer after being away at college. Especially once she realized her worst nightmare would also be staying at her house. Would they be able to work through all the trauma he had caused her or would it end even worse than before?
Ali, oh my goodness. How much could one withstand before one just breaks? She had so much strength to keep going through all of that. Jase had me on edge the entire time, I wanted to believe he was a good guy but I was so afraid to like him before I knew everything that happened!! I loved how it went back and forth between the present and the past. Getting to know them in the past helped figure out who they had become in the present. It definitely held my attention and had me needing to know all the details. I can’t wait to continue this world! There are so many people I hope get stories and plus I was not ready to say goodbye to Jase and Ali!!
