I have been waiting for the next book in this series and it did not disappoint. Fallen Foe was the second book in Shen’s Cruel Castaways series. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time!

Arsene was a cruel and calculating man. Everything he did was well thought out ahead of time. So when his fiancé suddenly died, he was thrown off his game and left to pick up the pieces.

Winnie was not prepared for how her life was playing out. She was trying to move on but something about Arsene had her questioning what she really wanted. Would she finally find her place with him or was he another mistake?

I loved his love of astronomy! These two had a connection that neither one of them really wanted to explore but I am glad they did! I can’t wait for the next installment! I really hope we get to see how their future plays out!
