El Diablo
By M. Robinson
El Diablo is a spin off from The Good Ol’ Boys Series. It can be read as a standalone but it does tie in with “the boys” and it sets you up nicely for her Jameson Brothers Series.
El Diablo spans many years giving you a front row seat to the messed up underworld of cartels, drugs and guns. Martinez is truly the devil! He is a no nonsense, cold hearted, ruthless, revenge seeking, extremely broken man. His father groomed him to take over at a young age, never giving him a choice. Once you are a part of that life, there isn’t an easy way out.
Almost everyone he loved was taken from him, some with his own hands. He quickly learned to keep everyone at arm’s length because in his eyes if someone gets too close, it is a death sentence. That is why he has kept Lexi off his radar for years, protecting her not only from his enemies but more importantly, himself.
Most people fear him, but Lexi sees past his hardened exterior and stands up to him time after time. Her fearless attitude cements her place in his hidden heart but what happens when he allows himself to show it? Will she be taken away from him as well or will she bring him to his knees?
This book is crazy (crazy good) – it will take you on a wild ride!
The angst…
The heartbreak…
No one is safe.
I wanted to hate Martinez so many times but somehow he weaseled his way into my heart!
