Edge of Us (Crash and Burn Series Book 2) Review
By Jamie McGuire
I remembering loving the first book in this series but this one seemed off for me. I still enjoyed it, but it almost felt forced, a little over the top and I felt like I read some of the exact same things that were in From Here To You (book 1). I understand the timelines overlapped and some of the events were the same but I wanted more their perspective, not just a recount of the event again. Overall I am glad I read it, it was heart wrenching but so sweet, with a side of suspense.
Naomi’s last several years hadn’t been easy; loosing a husband in the line of duty would throw anyone for a loop. When a friend asked to be part of a new team, she decided it was time to start fresh but when she met Zeke, would she be ready?
Zeke was a hotshot firefighter, his job was demanding and took him all over. Naomi brought something out in Zeke, a sense of belonging which he never had growing up. Would he be able to convince Naomi to give him a chance or would the thought of loosing him be too much for her to handle?
All the drama!! There were lots of suspenseful moments. I was glad I got to read Naomi’s story! She had so much going on and I like that she got her happy ending!
