Alley did it again! She had me completely immersed in the BTU world and I was sad to leave! Defensive Hearts was the seventh book in her BTU Alumni series and can be read as a stand-alone BUT don’t miss out on the other gems 😉 It was 

Chance had seen a photo of Gemma that was not meant for his eyes. Even though he knew he should have forgotten about it, it seemed to be the only thing on his mind. Being mortal enemies sure didn’t help since nothing could ever happen, right? 

Talk about enemies to lovers!!! These two were something else. Their chemistry was on fire! And the pups…awe!!! I loved getting to see all my favorite (and no, I can’t choose just one favorite, they all are) characters pop up in the book. I hope this series never ends!!
