I really enjoyed Rachel’s Bronze Bay Seal and Harbour Point Seal Series so I figured I needed to read her Real Seal Series.

Black and White Flowers is the first book in the series. It is an emotional ride from start to finish!

Carina is stuck in a cycle, being abused as a child didn’t stop her from finding an abusive fiancé. It’s her way of life, it’s the only thing she knows.

Smith is just going through the motions. An unfortunate accident left him with many questions about his past. Navigating his way through, he finds solace in talking to Carina.

Those meetings with Smith set the ball rolling. Carina knows she can’t stay in her relationship and with the help of friends, she makes her getaway.

As time goes by, Carina and Smith develop an amazing relationship that not everyone agrees with. Just when they think they are safe, memories resurface making Smith question everything in life. Will past promises make Smith walk away to keep his honor? Where will that leave true love?

This book was full of heart ache, love, and steam! I had so many mixed emotions throughout the entire book. Just when I was getting used to one thing, Rachel would throw a curveball, and I almost couldn’t handle it!! Can’t wait to read the next books!
